Best Place For Windmill Photos
The Palm Springs Windmills
Palm Springs is absolutely beautiful in the Spring and Winter, but it can get incredibly hot during the Summer. Unfortunately, that heat can result in a bride and groom not wanting to get super romantic for photos. This is something that can create a real hurdle for wedding photographers in the area, especially if the bride and groom booked an outdoor wedding venue. There are not many outdoor or shaded spots to beat the Palm Springs heat in the Summer, but one location is near the windmills!
The windmills in Palm Springs are very iconic, but in the Summer months those same windmills can provide a opportunity for couples who booked their wedding in the hottest months. This is because where there are windmills there is wind, and a good, strong breeze can be all that a couple needs to feel comfortable. With comfort then comes candid, romantic moments, and that is what every good wedding photographer wants to capture.
So where are the Palm Springs windmills and is there a ideal spot to photograph them in the background?
First of all, there are a number of areas where people can access the Palm Spring windmills so this article is in no way shape or form the only answer. However, the location our team at Palm Springs Photo Booths suggest based on ease of access, close proximity to the downtown Palm Springs area and nicest view of the landscape is a spot off North Indian Canyon Drive off Interstate 15. So if the wedding venue is off Palm Canyon simply get on North Indian Canyon Drive and head toward the freeway and actually pass it. The windmills will be come visible on the lefthand side. All you have to do then is drive out until you see a spot you like, pull the car over and walk out toward the windmills. It is that simple! And the it is only a short 5-10 minute drive from Movie Colony Hotel!
